The Healing Process

Make no mistake: there is no quick fix to problems with the body, especially when it comes to the spine and nervous system.  The discs in your back are completely reliant upon motion to keep them healthy after the age of 25. Until recently, we thought nerves could not heal because it could take upwards of 14 months for them to do so, and rarely do studies on the reconstruction of nerves last longer than 12 months.

If you decide to embark on this journey of health there are a few important things you need to know:

First off, as much as you and I would like it to be, the healing process is not all sunshine and rainbows.  It is more of an exhilarating, and sometimes perilous, journey to get to the Promised Land. You see, as your body begins to heal, most of the time people start to feel better. However, as you continue to restore yourself, old injuries that never healed correctly come into play as your body is now ready to properly heal from them.  These old problems, some of which you may not even remember how or when they occurred, will cause symptoms such as pain, discomfort, or irritability.  Unfortunately, one must experience these symptoms in order to get to the point where the body is no longer decaying at an accelerated rate.

Secondly, if at any time you want to change the direction of your journey you have the right to do so.  I only ask that you are honest and keep an open line of communication with me. Healing the spine maximally is not for everyone. It takes dedication, time, and effort that not everyone is willing or able to put in, which is alright. My role in your life is to be a specialized tool for you to utilize in order to get your body to function the way you want it to, preferably at its maximum and healthy potential.

When you work on the body as we do here, it is not just about moving a few immovable bones; it is about creating a body that can function with your lifestyle for as long as you possibly can. For those that want to take their bodies to a higher level of function, a level with less restriction and pain, I can promise you that the journey is worth taking. Many people will start, only a few may finish, but you are all cared for and will always be welcome in my office. Call today to start your journey (360) 779-5580
